Life Link was born out of a simple frustration: clunky touch screens and phones distract from the game. I wanted a better solution. Life Link is a solo passion project created specifically for the Magic community. Leveraging my background as an aerospace Test Engineer, I owned the entire stack—from custom PCBA engineering and firmware development to the ergonomic enclosure design. I originally built this to give players in my pod a tactile, reliable way to track complex Commander games in Magic: The Gathering. Now, with Life Link, anyone can sit down at any game night—even with a pod of strangers—and play without the awkwardness of using your personal phone, or squinting at a screen stranded in the center of the table.

What started as a personal project went through multiple rigorous iterations. The result is a device engineered with purpose:

• Intuitive RGB Feedback: A custom RGB indicator reacts to your gameplay in real-time. Whether you are taking damage, rolling a D20, or holding a button to navigate menus, dynamic lighting provides instant visual cues without cluttering the screen.

• Zero-Math Tracking: Let the device handle the arithmetic. Life Link automatically displays a running total for damage swings and life gain, keeping your focus on the board instead of the numbers.

• Roll For Turn: At any time during a game, simply shake the device to roll a D20.
